The WE approach aims at improving the working conditions in production facilities in Asia by establishing social standards. It was initiated as a Development Partnership with the Private Sector between Tchibo GmbH and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH co-financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
